I take these every day. 250mg - B6, 500mg - magnesium, 2000mg - calcium, 1400mg - vitamin D. It works. Or at least takes the edge off! It may prevent joint damage and reduce the risk of long-term disability. Hydroxychloroquine is in a class of medications that was first used to prevent and treat malaria. Scientists aren’t sure what causes Polymyalgia Rheumatica or why it is a self-limited disease a disease that goes away on its own in about half of people but can last much longer and behave like a chronic long-term disease in others.

The phlegm is not as bad as it was the last time, yet I wasn't on the Plaquenil as long this time and called the doctor sooner. After being off the Plaquenil for a little more than 24 hours, the phlegm seems to have already started to subside, and is no longer as thick but I continue to cough up white phlegm, yet it is not as thick. Im experienceing the same thing as Allie. I have been on Plaquenil for a year and a half and im losing hair like crazy as well. My Rheumatologist just recently switched my med to Prednisone but i cant really see any changes yet. I believe the Plaquenil does have some kind of affect with hair loss.
