Just google does low dose naltrexone cause a herxheimer's reaction and I am sure you will find a lot of info. Did you have your med compounded from pure naltrexone powder or from ground up 50 mg Revia/generic equivalent? Feb 25, 2020 Anyone have any “herx” like this or been prescribe Plaquenil? I just want to feel better and feel like I’ve been worse. Psychologically I tell myself I know it’s going to bye bad before better, but other days I want to quit and can’t wrap my head around this. I appreciate anyone’s feedback or guidance through this. Oct 12, 2009 I feel so much better and fingers crossed, this continues. I do know some people take longer than others but i think i was in such a bad way before that i noticed the difference straight away. Some things have got worse, numbness, burning nerve issues etc but i guess it doesnt help with those type of issues. good luck annie From SilverColloids. Plaquenil hydroxychloroquine for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus "I've been taking Plaquenil for 6 days now and I already notice a difference in my SLE. I almost feel normal. Before I struggled with fatigue and pain. Since its a mild stimulant it helps with my energy and my body is feeling so much better. Thanks for the replies,yep,self-induced flare,I think. I couldn't help being a numpty because I felt so good blush I just wondered if Plaquenil made you feel worse rather than better at the start like antibiotics can sometimes. It might be a bit of heartburn or gastritis. Make sure though to wait 2 hrs before and 2hrs after taking the plaquenil to take an antacid. Watch that sun. I find I feel worse when I've had too much of it. I'm prone to itching like crazy after too much sun. Are you using a broad spectrum sunscreen and UV protective clothing hat too?
